A few pictures from our photowalk we called Katerina and balloons along the river Avon near Salisbury, Wiltshire. Handling these two (Katerina and Sharik the dog) while trying to take pictures was not the easiest task. But it worked, I think. And this can be a good reminder of our great offer of 50% discounted family and children’s photo walks on week days. Feel free to ask about details via email or just stop by at our studio at Fisherton Mill, Salisbury.
We have attended quite rare nowdays event – Orthodox Christening in London suburb – Croydon Cemetery Chapel. Family was very kind to allow us to use a few pictures from the ceremony for public blog. Hope you can feel something special about the atmosphere ther as we do….
Our ever popular short family photowalk in Regent’s Park, London! This time it is just for mum and a little daughter, but aren’t they beautiful? Next time we will do photowalk with all their family!
Children photography in Wiltshire. We have produced a little set of photographs specifically to show off the dress. Someone important got it for Katerina so there is no way to avoid wearing it independently on what we think. On the other hand, cute babies stay cute in any outfit, aren’t they? 🙂
This is a children photography session from Katerina’s first birthday party. Modest and quiet, but nevertheless important. Thanks to our friends polish family that filled it up with celebration and lough. Katerina is growing up as a happy child and all around her happy as well!
This is another family photography session from Trowbridge, Wiltshire. Lara and Harry not simply taken up our offer of free pre-wedding photoshoot. They actually converted it into baby photography! We are never refusing any requests from our customers so I was happy to do a family or newborn photosession instead of engagement photoshoot. With the wedding coming in three weeks it is very useful to have an extra chat and take a couple of hundreds shots from different angles to make sure I know the best way to photograph Particular couple. Even though this session was not mainly about future newlywed, I managed to figure out for myself some DO and DON’Ts. And on the bright sunny day (which is definitely going to be!) we are going to have some great shots that will stay with them forever…
Watch this space for more proper wedding photographs in a less than a months! 🙂
Sometimes I meet old friends in unexpected places and it can be a good opportunity for improvised location family photography shoot, even without much preparation. There is actually not much to prepare anyway – normally it’s about using or not using the flash, except special cases when professional studio lighting used. I prefer not to use flash even though some loss of quality is happening. But you can win with relaxed live facial impression much more, than lose in pixels!
Studio photography is not always about beaming lights, light modifiers and other studio gear. Interesting portraits can be taken in a very simple conditions with an ambient light. In my case I have just reduced the window area to the size of an apple… I will do more experiments with this setup and hopefully will be able to show more results. I want to get visually closer to classical paintings feel, somewhat Vermeer-ish :). It sounds dare, I know, but shouldn’t we all aim high?+5">
Another part of baby photography shoot that I’ve partially shown before. But some of these are simply hilarious! That’s where joy of photographing babies kicks in.
Another children photography session, this time in our home studio. Management of these age groups can be most problematic, especially if we are talking about extended photoshoot. And we had a long shooting day with this family. Children was “on and off” so in between there are was quite a few pictures of parents with and without little ones. Hopefully I will follow this family as children will grow up and parents will have a several sets of pictures from every age milestone…
